Sick Chloe
Wednesday Chloe complained of a sore tummy, shortly thereafter was vomiting and let’s just say it was a L-O-N-G week and we both missed out on a lot of sleep. I’d like to tell you that we spend lots of time cuddling and reading books and bonding, educational things but honestly? We really spent a lot of time laying on the couch dozing and watching T.V. intermittently. {Thank you, Treehouse, for being on 24/7}.
Saturday we did make a visit to the doctor, who gave her some antibiotics and a referal for an ultrasound on Sunday. The ultrasound revealed some enlarged lymph nodes but was otherwise normal. Today Chloe seems a lot more like her usual self, for which I am thankful!
Sweet John
Saturday John and daddy did the usual Saturday routine without us: McDonalds for breakfast then a fast shopping for a handful of things. They also stopped at the Market. John, my sweet little 2 1/2 year old, asked daddy if they could buy mommy these flowers. Isn’t that adorable? And aren’t they beautiful?
{And daddy confirmed that he didn’t think about buying flowers for me – it was all sweet John}
Plans for the Week
As most of you no doubt know, sick children usually = laundry and a messy house at the end of it. I have some catching up to do around the house this week and Tuesday I have a midwife appointment. I also have one small area left to paint. I’d finished the dining room and living room but still need to paint the insides of the arches a creamy brown (to cover my mistakes) and one more wall in the entry way. Aside from that, we’re going to take it easy this week and hopefully get in some walks and fresh air because after this week, I think we need it.
So right now the ultimate blog party is happening. Thanks to all who popped in for a visit. I haven’t started partying yet (see above) but plan to this week!
What are you looking forward to this week?
- Chloe is 4 years & John is 30 months

Sounds like you had a rough week! And I’m sure your little girl just likes having her mom around when she’s sick weather your reading books or watching t.v.
Kari
What an awful week. 🙁 I hope she feels better and that this week is better!
ohhh Chloe, feel better! Spring is coming thank goodness! So, we will see some daylight, I hope and less flus!
Oh that sick scene on the couch looks all too familiar. Hope she is feeling better.
