I absolutely love the smell of lilacs. My parents brought over a tree the other day and planted it in the yard while we were out. We got home late and rushed into the house. The next morning there was some excitement in the ranks; a tree had grown in our yard overnight! Ha! I did tell them where it came from eventually but it was fun to listen to them (3, 4} speculate. They spent quite a while playing out under it. You see, though we live super close to a ton of walking trails through beautiful protected forest {it’s across the street!}, we live in a new subdivision and only have the tree that they planted on our boulevard to call our own.
A new tree is definitely a finer thing and a call for celebration! What little thing are you celebrating today?
