A Day in the Life: July 25

A week or so before I had Isaac, a beautiful framed silhouette arrived in the mail. Thank you so much, Katie Wyper Designs, for capturing Isaac and I as one right before we became two. I love it!

Going from one child to two was easy enough but with the arrival of our third, I’m finding it a wee bit more challenging. Isaac is 8 1/2 weeks old now and we’ve been home from the hospital for 2 1/2 weeks. My wise friend, Brianna, offered some great advice before Isaac was born so thankfully I have pretty low expectations of myself right now and my to-do list is pretty minimal.

Successful Day = dress, clean and feed myself and the littles, read to them and accomplish one task. Yep, just one!

Today we had a supercharged successful day, accomplishing the basics, cleaning the kitchen, washing the floor, cleaning our shower and the fridge, updating the calendar with all Isaac’s appointments, painting my toenails and getting this post written.

Since today was cleaning day, tomorrow will be packing day; camping for three days and then a trip to Ottawa for four days. Fun and busy!

I miss blogging. I’m super excited to be reviewing a Boba and the Monkey Doodlez Tuck and Go System. Those will be coming out soon. But really, I miss reading blogs, commenting on them and responding to comments on my own. I miss the connection and e-friendship I have with many of you. I’m looking forward to figuring out how to balance family, home and blogging. Your advice is welcome!

How do you balance life and blogging? Is it a challenge for you too?

  1. Hi and a big Congratulations (I think I posted much earlier on one of your hubby’s posts about Isaac but haven’t congratulated YOU!)!!
I find it hard to blog these days, not because I don’t want to but because there’s no time! Mia’s more mobile every day and not a good napper, so the days fly by without much time to myself. Not that I mind, but I too miss blogging.
We love our boba carrier, Mia was too small for it for the first 3 months but now it’s my favourite carrier.
    Have fun in Ottawa! 🙂

  2. I love that sillhouette. My mom has one of me as a baby and as a teen in her house. They are so simple and classic.

Enjoy your time with Issac and your family.
