Off to the Mom Heart Conference 2012

Last fall a friend of mine, Brianna {Heart(h) Management}, whom I have never met in real life, invited me to attend Mom Heart. I’d never heard of it and had barely heard of Sally Clarkson. On a whim, I said yes all those months ago and today I find myself boarding a plane, heading off on a grand adventure for friendship, fellowship, encouragement…

Today Chloe (6) asked me why I was going away. I explained that at the mom conference Mama would learn to be a better mother, be encouraged, glean some new ideas, a fresh perspective…. Chloe was quiet for a moment and then said the sweetest thing, “Mama, you don’t have to go to the conference. You’re already the best mother.”

I wish it were true. I know in my heart that I am the best mama for Chloe, John and Isaac. I know this because if I weren’t, God would have entrusted them to someone else. That being said, I know I can be a better mama. We all can.

So with excitement {and the teensiest bit of nervousness}, I’m off. I can’t wait to share with you when I return!
