Ottawa Cloth Diapers {Giveaway}

A Cloth Diaper Addiction

I love cloth diapers. I love the colors and all the different styles, I love the accessories and the different patterns of wetbags. I enjoy browsing around cloth diapering stores both physical and online. It’s easy to become addicted. When BumGenius brought out their 4.0 with snaps this spring, I bought one for John even though he’s getting ready to potty train and we didn’t really need it. I just wanted to try one. Though now that I am expecting, I decided to sell my 3.0 velcro’s and buy new snaps for new baby. FUN!

Who Is Ottawa Cloth Diapers

Vicky, of Ottawa Cloth Diapers, is one of the most knowledgeable (and friendly) people you will meet. She can help you find just the right products and provide suggestions for which diapers might meet your needs. When I was at a loss for what to stuff in my diaper for a super heavy wetter, she had the answer! I’m excited to try a new diaper line, Soft Bums, with our new baby at her suggestion as well. I’m confident that they will work well for us! {Though most of my stash will be made up of my beloved 4.0’s}

She is located in the Ottawa area of Ontario, Canada for those who wish to visit her in person. Her well-organized online store services the rest of Canada and the USA. She offers free shipping for orders over $99 and a flat rate of $6.95 for orders below that. Her customer service and email reply times are awesome!

Fantastic Products She Carries

She sponsored one of my first giveaways here at Beautiful Calling and since then, I have spent many happy hours browsing her lovely online shop. We’ve used FuzziBunz, BumGenius, MonkeyDoodlez Cubes, MonkeyDoodlez Swim Diapers (you can’t get any cuter than this!! John wore his two years in a row too!), Bummi’s Swim Diapers, Bummi’s Liners, JamTots Wetbags, BumGenius Bottom Cleaner and many other products. We’ve been happy with everything from the product to the shipping to the service!

IMG_5602 I always love opening my OCD orders!!

 But you know, Ottawa Cloth diapers is more than just cloth diapers.

They carry natural skin care products, I love the entire Dimpleskins line. I’m very fond of the boo-boo goo; especially since my littles are older and “owies” are happening on a regular basis. The rule at our house? Blood = bandaid otherwise you get a kiss and some goo!

Chloe in the Ergo, John in the hotsling when we were on vacation in France.

They also carry baby carriers. I love, love, love my Ergo!! We have two so daddy and I can each carry one. Yes, at almost 4, we sometimes still carry Chloe. John was a bit older when we got ours so I didn’t get a chance to try it with the infant insert but I’m looking forward to it with baby #3. You will not believe how comfy this carrier is!

I bought my mommy necklace with a gift certificate I had won. I purchased this necklace right before our trip to Africa (and four intercontinental flights). I wore this and John enjoyed playing with it, sliding the donut back and forth, then snapping and unsnapping the necklace. It comes with a no break guarantee too! I love it and it was handy to have as a quick diversion! I’m sure I’ll be using it with baby too 🙂

Vicky sent me a Snack Happened bag this spring for John (in the fun monkey print) and I subsequently bought myself and Chloe each one too. Oh my. We use them all the time. During the week I pop goldfish crackers in them for outings or grapes in them for a snack while playing in the yard. On Sundays, I pack a sandwich in them (church is 1/2 hour away and they’re hungry on the ride home!). They are lined with waterproof lining and are awesome. I love the zippered closure. We had velcro closure snack backs previously and #1 when we first got them the littles had trouble getting the velcro open it was so stiff and #2 after a while, the velcro stopped closing as well so it was easy to open but stuff fell out all the time. The zipper is perfect! I’ve no idea what their washing instructions are but if it’s just crummy, I wipe the inside with a damp cloth and when it’s dirty from being outside, I toss it in the washing machine. We’ve been using it for well over 6 months and I am just as delighted now as I was when we first received them! They still look new as well. They’re not just for tots either. With a variety of prints; Mom’s can find one that suits them and you’re one step ahead in packing a litterless lunch. Save on baggies and be eco friendly! They have a selection of reusable bags for meal and snacktime.

      I love the baby legs. Chloe had a pair as a baby and now almost 4 years later, still wears them as leg warmers. I just bought John a pair to wear while potty training! So versatile!!

  1. I would buy the Bum genius diaper and the mommy necklace I’m thinkin’. THank you so much for the giveaway!

    • @RG I won a gift certificate and ‘treated’ myself to the necklace though I thought it was a bit expensive, I now understand why it is so great. With no fear of breaking, it was something John could entertain himself with as well as make me look good 🙂
      Thanks for entering!

    • @ Jenny, I may have two in cloth this spring {though trying hard not to! LOL} I bought an Echo to try it. I could not believe how small it went down to…much smaller than my beloved BumGenius diapers. Then I was skeptical of it fitting my son now (2 and about 30lbs+) and couldn’t believe it when that tiny diaper expanded to fit my son perfectly. He’s worn it quite a few times now this week since we got it. I’ll probably write a review on it at some point but I definitely think it’s worth trying!
