A Joy to Share

I’m delighted to tell you about KINDER®’s ‘A Joy To Share’ program. “KINDER® Canada is very proud to support the Children’s Miracle Network, who has been helping to save and improve the lives of children by raising funds for children’s hospitals since 1983.”

McMaster Hospital is one of the hospitals that the Children’s Miracle Network supports. As many of you know, they were a vital part of why Isaac is still here with us and they continue to be a support as he continues to undergo testing and monitoring.

A Kinder Giveaway to Celebrate The Children’s Miracle Network

So if you are already a Kinder facebook fan, you’ll know that there have been a lot of free eggs given away on the page and this month is no exception. Beginning on November 26th and lasting 10 days, Kinder will be giving away 750 eggs at noon ET. Let me do the math for you – that’s 7500 eggs!!! {whoot, whoot!!}

My New Favorite Treat

As a #KinderMom, I had the privalge of tasting some of their delicious holiday eggs and let me say, I think the Kinder® Mini Eggs are my new favorites. I {embarassed laugh} polished off a little bag all to myself in no time flat. Watch out, they are addicting! {FYI – they are not nut-free as they contain an amazing hazelnut centre!}

An Easy Way to Make A Difference

It’s the season of giving. I try to teach my children that it’s the season for giving regardless of what month the calendar says, but December is extra special and my tots know that.

Some things we do in our family:

  • Donate to the foodbank – it’s easy and needed!
  • Donate our change to the Salvation Army
  • Make baking to give to neighbors, friends and seniors
  • Send out Christmas cards with notes and drawings to shut-ins or those who are sick. Especially those who do not have a lot of family.
  • Our church usually participates in sending Christmas gifts and clothing to the children at the Bayanihan orphanage in the Philippines. My tots each choose a child near their own age from the list and we go shopping. They also help put together some clothing that no longer fits them to send along as well.
  • While we usually do any giving through our local church, at Christmas we also flip through the World Vision gift catalogue and choose something as a family to purchase for a family.

Do you want to make a difference? Watch and “share” the Martin Family’s story on facebook to help encourage donations to the Children’s Miracle Network. For every share of the video, Kinder will donate $1 to the Children’s Miracle Network, up to $5,000. That’s easy enough, isn’t it?

I’ve shared about my excitement with the Joy to Share campaign previously. I truly can not express how thankful I am that Kinder supports the Miracle Network, which makes such a difference in so many families!
