A while back I won a gift certificate to The Vintage Pearl from Simple Mom. The Vintage Pearl makes beautiful hand-stamped custom treasures. I love the Erin’s story of how The Vintage Pearl started and about how God has blessed their business and in turn, they can bless others in need! I was excited about my win, however, it took me almost 6 months to decide how to spend it. I wanted to choose just the right piece.
I decided on the layered circle of love with an additional pearl in the center to make it a little more feminine. The inner circle has my children’s names and the outer circle says, “DT 6:7 Thou shalt teach them diligently” taken from Deuteronomy 6:6-9.
And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
{I’ll share more about my choice for this verse in my upcoming post about our homeschool vision.}
Since the shipping was so reasonable {even to Canada!}, my gift certificate covered the cost of my jewelry and shipping and even left enough to have it gift wrapped with a beautiful ribbon and pearl. I recommend the gift wrap. It’s stunning in it’s simplistic beauty. As I opened my package, I felt very special and was excited, though I knew what it contained. But as I laid eyes on the finished product, I knew that this necklace will inspire, encourage and serve as a reminder of what I aim to accomplish on this parenting journey!
So a big thank you to both The Vintage Pearl and Simple Mom for this gift!
- Disclosure: I received a gift certificate to The Vintage Pearl from a giveaway hosted on Simple Mom. I was not required to write about it in any way. I simply wanted to share this with you because it is beautiful and I am excited. All opinions expressed here are, of course, my own fabulous thoughts!
I love those Deuteronomy verses! I quoted them in my blog post on Wednesday and tied them in with the importance of telling our children stories of what God has done for us.
Your necklace is exquisite! What a treasure!

I love the Vintage Pearl jewelry as well.I chose a piece to inspire me, to be a conversation piece, and to encourage. I chose a square name with heart necklace. On it I had the words soul, mind and strength stamped, and from it hangs a silver heart. The heart and the words remind me of God’s greatest commandment, Love the Lord your God with all your hear, soul, mind and strength, and the second to love your neighbor as yourself. I added a pearl, to remind me of my value to my Heavenly Father, because of Christ. Thanks for sharing your story on your blog and on tvp facebook page.
