Last week I shared our curriculum for the year. But honestly? For many {including us}, teaching tots is more about daily life experiences, hands on experiences and learning through play.
This week we had the opportunity to catch no fish with Papa – but have fun trying! We went to the pumpkin patch with friends, had a picnic with Oma, played on the beach with papa and dipped our toes in chilly water!
We also read Jesse Bear this week and it was a huge hit with the littles. We did many fun activities to help us think about the concepts presented and some just for fun. Their favorite-est activity was blowing bubbles in the bathtub this week just like Jesse Bear.
I had a better pic where you can see all the bubbles but wanted to only include their heads in the shot so that one was out.
We also spent quite a bit of time playing with our Lauri Stacker Pegs. Sorting into colors and stacking them high; John was really intent on his castles while oblivious to the fact that he was working on his fine motor skills 🙂
Did you do anything educational this week? We’d love to hear!

Looks like fun!
We love our peg stacker too!
“teaching tots is more about daily life experiences, hands on experiences and learning through play.’ ~ yes!!! So important to remember this!
