Sunday Night 10:45pm
I have a cold in August. There is just something wrong about that statement! Here I am, can’t sleep because my ‘node id dough duffy’ and when I lie down I can’t breath. I gave up and just took a Nyquil. I’m generally opposed to taking medication but sometimes it is necessary I guess. I need to sleep! Tomorrow is Monday.
I was glad to read that Mom’s the Word has messy Monday’s too. Our home always seems particularly messy on Mondays. Especially this week. Last week our church had VBS (more on that tomorrow) and I had a Bunwich order and an Epicure party. Throw in a few play dates, pool days, picnics and John’s birthday – there wasn’t much time left over to clean.
But you know what? I wouldn’t change a thing! {except maybe this cold I picked up!} We had a great week last week!
So tonight, as I wait for my cold medication to knock me into la-la land, I ambitiously (or not so ambitiously) plan my day tomorrow.
I know what I would like to get done tomorrow, but accepting the reality {I’m sick!}, I’m revising that list to something that I know is do-able. Knowing I am going to feel rough tomorrow – a general tidy, ironing DH’s shirts, and a clean kitchen will be enough to make my home sing! Then we’re going to ice the cupcakes we baked and head to a friend’s house for John’s birthday party with his friends. That will make us sing – happy birthday that is.
What’s on your agenda today?
I am stopping by from the linky for Making your home sing Monday. I love the fact that you know you won’t feel great tomorrow so you know to scale it back. That is still a trait I am working on.
It’s easier to write than to do. I often struggle still! I’m feeling better than I thought I would but am still aiming to keep it a simple day! Thanks for coming by!
Oh, it’s just so awful to be sick during the summer! Summer colds just seem so unfair!
Do you know that they make something called Dayquil? It’s like the night one, only doesn’t make you drowsy.
I’m glad you aren’t going to push yourself tomorrow, so take it easy and get better!
Thanks for linking up to Making Your Home Sing Monday!
That’s a HUGE to do list for a sick person!
Happy Birthday to John. I can’t believe he’s 2 already!
