With a 2 year old and a 4 year old, needless to say, we love cookies at our house.
Cereal Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup of butter (if unsalted add 1/2 tsp salt)
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup of Nature Valley crunch granola or any cereal
- 1 cup+/- of raisins {I’d add more but I usually scoop out some dough before adding raisins and add chocolate chips for me. Bad, I know! I love chocolate but I’d prefer the children to have raisins. They haven’t caught on yet! LOL}
- 1/2 cup of bran or wheat germ (optional)
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, baking soda, salt and vanilla. Add in flour, bran and oats. Lastly, add in granola and raisins.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, depending on your oven at 325 deg F.

this type of cookie is my sons favorite and I think they are mighty tasty as well
Honestly, as much as I love chocolate chip cookies, I’ll choose an oatmeal raisin if given the choice. Nothing like a nice, chewy, brown sugary cookie. Love it.
