I love shoes. Always have. It stands to reason that when I began to have little ones, I would enjoy picking out their shoes. But when it comes to little feet, growing and forming each day as they run, skip, hop and play, choosing shoes involves a little more than the cuteness factor.

Eleven makes quality, supportive and flexible shoes, combined with unique, stylish looks. Many are familiar with the adorable lines of See Kai Run and Eleven is the sister company; allowing parents to buy shoes for older ones (3 years – 8 years) with the same quality and craftsmanship they experienced with See Kai Run.

Eleven’s Alessia and See Kai Run’s Carter

Eleven shoes feature soft high quality leather uppers with flexible rubber soles for traction and durability. They are also quite breathable; no overly sweaty feet for your little one! The shoes have a specially cushioned sole, ensuring the ultimate comfort. The require little care, simply wiping clean in most cases. Scuffs, which are bound to happen with tots, are easily taken care of with a simple swipe with a polish sponge. Since Chloe often wears hers for play along with dress, we found that out first hand.

Chloe received the Alessia in black. Both of us absolutely adore these shoes. They are classic a classic Mary Jane but with a sweet, feminine twist: adorable leather ruffles. It really makes the shoes elegant and unique. I love the strap; a double, coming over the ankle, through the loop and then velcroing back on to itself. Chloe’s previous high quality black shoes only had a single strap over the ankle and velcroing on to the shoe itself. While there was nothing wrong with that, this double strap really provides additional support and security.

I found their sizing to be right on. The shoes fit perfectly but with plenty of growth room which is important for growing feet.

The style and the easy velcro closures mean that she can slip these on and do them up herself quite easily; something that makes a 3 year old quite proud. {and Mommy too}.

Chloe often wears these shoes to church. She also often wears them to bike-ride or play in the back yard. Either way, dressy or casual, these shoes are so versatile that they look perfect with any outfit. As I mentioned previously, a wipe with a damp cloth and the occasional wipe with a polish sponge and regardless of what adventure Chloe has been out on, her shoes are still looking new!

Overall, I’m delighted with these shoes. Initially, they may seem pricey but you are ensuring the health and growth of little feet, their comfort, and a quality shoe that will last as long as you need it too! Choose a fabulously versatile shoe like the Alessia and you’re all set for every day adventures and those fancy occasions.

Gift Idea

A gift that will keep giving: comfortable and stylish shoes! Right now Eleven is offering free shipping within the USA so take advantage now. A great gift idea for the little girl in your life. I know Chloe gets excited about new shoes; I bet your little princess would too. If you have a little prince in your life, why not buy him a pair too? He’d look extra spiffy during the holiday season though new shoes may not be as delightful for a him as a her.

A big thank you to Eleven for providing the shoes for review. As per my disclosure policy, aside from the review product, I was in  no other way compensated. All opinions expressed her are solely my own honest thoughts based on experience. The See Kai Run’s were not received for review; John just happens to wear them a lot and likes to be included in photos!

  1. Awwww i love classic Mary Jane and they are especially adorable on your Chloe. Ruffles sure do make them extra special! Finding a comfortable shoe for kids is a nightmare. It’s difficult to tell if they are lying about being comfortable simply because they love how it looks.
